Our Story

Like many stories from the road, this one starts around a campfire. A group of Fulltime Families were hunkered under an awning in the Oregon mists and someone wished aloud, “would be cool if there was an app for finding RV techs”. A few ideas were tossed around and I went to bed, but I woke up thinking about it again.

Why just RV techs? Why not kids with their lemonade stand, the teen with his new dog washing business, or someone to get our essential oils from when our precious lavender runs out. Kat and I made a list of 30+ mobile business types that could benefit from having a place to list their services. Our general hopes were for businesses to create a listing like on Google, but allow the listing to move with your enterprises on wheels. We wanted a place where nomads can support nomads. A place where not only your schedule, but your route could be projected and viewed by customers. And a place where customers could find the service they need based on where they will be heading to next week or next month.

We had an idea that needed polishing but there was a need and a desire from the community for it. We aren’t tech people, so we started shopping around for an app developer. 

It was to our great fortune that we were sent in the direction of Matt Bialko, the owner of Wandering Creator. As a nomadic entrepreneur, we immediately knew he was the final piece to our team. He has knocked this project out of the park, and together we have created For Nomads, By Nomads (FNBN).

Our goal is to remain affordable. For clients/customers, the app will be free for both Apple and Android. At only $10 a month, it’s our hope that most service providers will make back that small fee and more with just a single sale each month.

With over 1 million fulltime RVers and millions more that travel part of the year, we hope to build a large network of nomadic service providers to help anyone, no matter where you are or when you’ll be there.
